Welcome to Preservation Pittsburgh


Architectural assessment- Includes visiting sites and assessing the value and historic merit of the property. These assessments are brought to the attention of the board of directors and general membership.

Development- Assures the organizations financial health. Whether overseeing appeals to general membership or applying for grants, the committee endeavors to establish a firm financial foundation so that the organization may pursue its programmatic goals.

Education- This is one goal of our organization.  It is important to educate the general public and its own membership on preservation issues.

Environment history/ environmentally historic/ Pittsburgh environmental history/ our environment- includes preserving Pittsburgh's green spaces, hillsides, views and landscapes.

Religious structures- concentrate on retaining the best of the areas religious structures, also providing info on their unique merits and preservation.

Membership- Our members are the most important part of preservation Pittsburgh and the goal is to nurture growth in the organization as well as provide the members with info on activities.
